Man charged after class A drugs found

A man has been charged after we seized class A drugs in Stoke-on-Trent. 

Ilias Damianeas, 38, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, one count of driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and one count of using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without third party insurance. 

It comes after we stopped a car in Burslem yesterday (Thursday 11 September) and seized cocaine, cash and a mobile phone. 

Damianeas has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 12 September).
