PC Rain Couldn’t Dampen Spirits — But Shoplifter Couldn’t Escape PC Hare |
||
The Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team were out on patrol today, braving Manchester’s trademark drizzle. While the rainy weather kept crowds lighter than usual, the officers remained a visible presence, reassuring businesses, commuters, and residents in the city centre.
It proved to be a relatively quiet day, though not without incident. In the afternoon, PC Hare made a swift arrest after detaining a suspected shoplifter, ensuring that local retailers were protected. The individual has now been charged and bailed.
Reflecting on the day’s efforts, Sergeant Jon Wyatt of the Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “The rain might have kept the usual hullabaloo of the city at bay, but it didn’t stop us from doing our job. Our patrols meant people could feel reassured, and we still dealt with crime when it came our way.”
The Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue their regular patrols, working closely with the community to maintain safety and deter crime — come rain or shine. | ||
