VAWG Event Shoreham - Be Behaviour Aware |
||||
Good afternoon Resident
Violence against women and girls (VAWG) has no place in our communities. Kent Police is committed to tackling this issue head-on and ensuring that everyone - especially women and girls - can feel safe where they live, work, and socialise.
Today I attended Shoreham's Coffee Morning held at Shoreham Village Hall organised by the Women's Institute in the village. Residents were spoken to about VAWG and the impact it may have on those effected. Residents were able to read leaflets dedicated to help and support and find out further information. Various items were handed out including personal safety alarms and drink spike aids.
If you're aware of any further events/groups that may benefit from a similar visit, please feel to reply directly to this message or email me via 15907@kent.police.uk
Kent Police’s approach focuses on five key areas: - Holding offenders to account using all available powers - Supporting victims with trauma-informed services - Keeping communities safe through visible policing and prevention - Strengthening the system with effective partnerships - Improving internal culture to ensure high standards of integrity and trust
Need support or want to report something? Visit www.kent.police.uk/VAWG or call 101 (or 999 in an emergency).
Kind regards, Ashleigh | ||||
