UPDATE 11/09/2025:
British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a murder investigation following the death of a 16-year-old boy in Seaford yesterday evening (10th September 2025).
We know our communities are deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the boy's family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
The investigation is being led by British Transport Police (BTP). We are supporting their work and have increased patrols locally to provide reassurance and to listen to any concerns residents may have.

Lewes District Commander, Chief Inspector Mark Evans, said:
“This is a devastating incident and our thoughts are with the boy’s family and friends. We know this is upsetting for the local community, and we will have additional officers in the area in the coming days. We are working closely with local partners to support anyone affected and encourage residents to speak to us if they have concerns or information that could help the investigation.”
