School Parking Concerns

Dear Resident, 

With schools back open after the summer holidays we have already had a number of complaints regarding vehicles parking dangerously outside schools and blocking residents' driveways. 

Inconsiderate or illegal parking can put pedestrians and other road users in danger. It can also create an obstruction for emergency vehicles.

Members of the Safer Neighbourhood team are attending local schools during drop off and pick up times and will be working with Telford & Wrekin Council Neighbourhood Enforcement Officers to promote safer parking outside schools and where relevant support the enforcement of parking restrictions. 

If you do need to drive your child to school then please be considerate and ensure you are parking safely and legally. If there are car parks near to your child's school then please consider using these.
