Monthly update

Hello, 

I am the St Michaels Team 2 sergeant for coventry city centre. It has been a very busy sumer period on the sector.

I hope you have enjoyed the nice weather we have had. 

We have been proactive in and around the city centre which has seen us identify and arrest a male for a knifepoint robbery recently who was charged to court. A further male was also identified & arrested for a burglary and remanded in court pending a trial for this offence.

Over the last 6 weeks we have stop searched 25 individuals recovering drugs and stolen items. We have recieved some really useful information from concerned members of the community which have allowed us to act upon that to identify offenders and target them. 

We continue to be out and about in the community carrying out streetwatch and pawpatrols with members of our community, these really help us to understand current issues that local residents are facing and gives them the opportunity to discuss these with a dedicated police community support officer. 

PCSO Lyndon CLARKE also ran a bike marking event in the city centre which helps us to identify recovered stolen bikes and can act as a deterrent.  

With the kids back at school be please be wary on parking in and around our local city centre schools as bad parking can result in dangerous hazards for kids crossing our roads.
