Vehicle related ASB- Southbank

We know how disruptive the recent motorbike gatherings have been around Waterloo and the Southbank, especially near the London Eye. Residents and businesses have told us about the late-night noise, racing, and engine revving, and we’re taking action.

Our officers are working with local businesses to collect CCTV footage, which will help us identify those involved. Earlier today, I issued 8 Community Protection Warnings to individuals we’ve identified as taking part. This is the start of a process where if their behaviour continues we can issue a community protection notice with conditions and if breached is a criminal offence.

We’ll continue patrols in the area where operationally possible and look to use various tactics stop this behaviour. We are aware that there is a public meeting that is planned for 24 September and we will attend so we can hear directly from the community and discuss how all partners can work together to resolve this issue.
