Dear residents, please find the crime data update for August 2025. Apologies for the delay in sending out the data. Crime Data: There were forty-five reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Wards for August 2025. For Humberston Ward: Overnight 14th & 15th August, number plates were stolen from a car parked on North Sea Lane. During the early hours of 27th August, a car parked on its drive at Fairway Drive was entered. The car alarm was activated which made the intruder run from the scene. Over the same period, an attempt was made to enter a car parked on Parklands Avenue, however, the vehicle was secure, and no entry made. There were two reports of criminal damage, one of which was domestic related including a caravan window was smashed on a local Caravan Park. Other crime includes: Five assaults. Four reports of harassment. Two reports of minor public order. There were three reports of ASB: Youths causing issues on Lime Grove. Youths causing issues on Cherry Lane. One neighbour dispute. For New Waltham Ward: During the early hours of 10th August, a garage at a property on Peterson Drive was broken in to. Contents were scattered in the street after the intruder was disturbed by a passer-by. A male has been arrested in connection with this burglary. During the early hours of 25th August, two males were seen at a vehicle parked on Albery Way. No entry was gained. Other crime includes: Three assaults. Four reports of harassment. One report of minor public order. Four shop thefts from the Co-Op There have been four reports of ASB: Two reports of illegal riding of motorbikes around the pavilion area. Youths causing issues in the beer garden at the Farmhouse Pub. Complaint of loud music from a residential address How can you help: Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work. We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and step up our patrols in the area. The number to call for non-emergency issues is 101.
