VEHICLE CRIME We are continuing to see vehicle crime in the Henley area. We have had one theft of motor vehicle and two thefts from vehicles.
The theft of motor vehicle occurred in the Oslo Gardens area between 22:00 on 07/09/2025 and 00:00 on 08/09/2025 where a Ford Fiesta was parked up and stolen without keys. If you have heard or seen anything, please contact us on 101 referencing 20/369751/25.
The thefts from vehicles took place at the Holiday Inn on Hinckley Road on two separate vehicles between 21:00-21:15 on 04/09/2025. Both vehicles were broken into but it is unknown if any items were stolen at this time. Our enquiries are still ongoing. If you heard or saw anything suspicious, please contact us on 101 quoting 20/366231/25 and 20/366647/25.
There has also been an increase in keyless vehicles being stolen alongside vehicles being broken into and tools stolen from within. We recommend that owners of these vehicles use a steering wheel lock to prevent against theft and to remove any tools from their vehicles when the vehicle is not in use.

HOUSING We are working closely with housing associations such as Citizen, Stonewater and Orbit to keep them informed of any of their tenants who are repeatedly involved in crime and anti-social behaviour, because it is a breach of their tenancy agreement. We are also carrying out joint visits with the housing officers to some addresses. On some occasions this has resulted in troublesome families being evicted from their home.
We have recently managed to obtain an Injunction Order against an address in the Henley area in association with Stonewater Housing following repeat anti-social behaviour.
OTHER INFORMATION We have currently finalising dates for our next community meetings and engagements and these will be released in due course.
If you have information about people committing crime that you want to tell us about, you can contact us on the non-emergency telephone number 101. You can also report to us online using our report forms on: Report | West Midlands Police
Alternatively you can contact the CRIMESTOPPERS charity anonymously by calling 0800 555 111. This is a free phone number. CRIMESTOPPERS can also be contacted online here: Independent UK charity taking crime information anonymously | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org)
Please do not report crime via WMnow because it is not always monitored.
Kind regards, The Henley and Longford Neighbourhood Team | ||
