Valentines Ward Update – Community Engagement & Patrols

Since last Saturday, your dedicated Valentines Ward PCSOs, 7109A and 7016EA, have been busy engaging with the community and tackling local concerns:

Saturday: Coffee with residents at Gardener’s Cottage Café, followed by a street briefing at Albemarle Approach addressing issues of ASB and breaches of the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).

Sunday: High-visibility patrols in Valentines Park and ASB patrols around York Road and nearby streets.

Monday: Attended a Violence Against Women and Girls event at the Ilford Punjabi Centre, hosted by the Valentines Ward Councillor. Around 30–40 women took part in an open Q&A and informal discussion.

Tuesday: Responded to a breach of the peace, using our skills in conflict resolution and people management to de-escalate tensions between relatives and couples.

We continue to work closely with residents and partners to keep Valentines Ward a safe and welcoming place. Please say hello if you see us out on patrol.

We are back on duty on the 12/09/25 for some more patrols and engagements, We have spoken with loads of new residents as well as residents who we already know. Look out for the future engagement events and try to come along to chat about the ward.
