BURGLARY SUSPECT CAUGHT AFTER MEMBER OF THE PUBLICS QUICK THINKING

Officers from the Lewisham area successfully arrested a burglary suspect on Sunday 7th September after a member of the publics quick thinking and awareness. 

The burglary attempt took place after midnight on Sunday in the Blackheath area. After smashing a glass window and cutting themselves on it, the suspect man fled the scene leaving a trail of blood down an alleyway near the scene. This trail was found by a member of the public who quickly identified an issue and contacted police. 

The Lewisham officers managed to find the male suspect and made an arrest, later charging them for the offence with a trial set for November.
