Speed checks in your area

Good morning,

On the 4th of September 2025, your local beat officers in Herne Bay conducted speed checks across Herne Bay wards. We are pleased to say that only one vehicle was recorded driving over the speed limit and they were dealt with accordingly. Speed is one of the five main causes of deaths on our roads, speed limits are in place to keep our roads and our communities safe.

In addition to the speed checks, a vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested for possession of a class A drug, driving with no insurance and driving whilst disqualified. 

Your beat officers will continue to monitor speed in Herne Bay, please make them aware of any key areas that require our attention with a speed gun!
