Wednesbury Police Update!

Good afternoon all! 

I hope you are okay and enjoying the last of the nice weather! I just thought I'd share some of our work over the last month. We also have a Twitter account, please go and follow it and have a little look at what we get up to. The @ is @WednesburyWMP.

We pulled a driver over for using her mobile phone whilst driving. She was issued with a FPN and most likely will be given 6 points on her licence.   

We also arrested a male after a short foot chase. He was responsible for numerous shop thefts in the Wednesbury area. 

Officers from the team also used the big red key to force entry into a property. A wanted male was hiding in the loft. He was wanted for 6 separate shop thefts and a burglary. 

We are arresting more people than ever and we also held online teams surgeries for the first time. A massive thank you for those who joined and contributed to the discussion. We shall be doing more of these going forward. Alongside members of the local council, we have received really positive feedback from retailers regarding how they feel much more safe when in Wednesbury Town Centre. We realise that we are not perfect and we are striving to do better than ever. We currently have the largest team in years and a Sargent who has stayed longer than a year (I know this is music to a lot of your ears).
