Local Priorities Dangerous driving / speeding Update

Dear Resident,

Thank you for taking the local priority survey recently, your ongoing feedback about local issues of concern is vital in order to enable us to target resources effectively. Although you did not raise Dangerous driving / speeding as a concern in your last feedback, this issue has been raised by other members of your local area so we thought you would also like to receive this update.

Due to concerns raised by local residents LANSBURY SNT were out on patrol on Thursday 4th September 2025 using various methods to try and combat vehicle related ASB and speeding. We conducted speed gun checks along Lindfield Street E14 and Upper North Street E14.
We also conducted Several patrols in a marked police car around Stainsby Road E14, Morris Road E14, Chrisp Street E14 and Cordelia Street E14 along with some of the smaller side streets looking for vehicles causing ASB and vehicles with no Insurance
We aim to do these operations more frequently subject to operational needs targeting the most complained about streets

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.
