Speed monitoring

Following the results of the latest community survey, vehicle speed has been highlighted as an ongoing issue. Officers from Waddesdon Neighbourhood Team have conducted speed monitoring this afternoon and will continue to monitor the speed at different times of the day to ascertain where and when is most effective to conduct speed enforcement. The results from today are as follows;

14:40 - 14:55, Chearsley Rd, Long Crendon. 

21 vehicles travelling at 30mph and under.

2 vehicles travelling between 31 and 34mph.

1 vehicle travelling between 35 and 39mph. 

15:00 - 15:30, Bicester Rd, Long Crendon.

57 vehicles travelling at 30mph and under 

14 vehicles travelling between 31 and 34mph. 

The reason Officers don't stay in the same area for a prolonged period of time, is satellite navigation systems are updated warning drivers Police are there, which results in speed being reduced. This does not then give true results of those individuals speeding.
