Dear Resident,

With PC Will on holiday this week, I have been busy actioning the Resident's Voice surveys that have been coming in. This week has mostly been complaints about parking. Inconsiderate and illegal parking does make up a large part of our job as Beat Officers. Residents should be mindful that they must not park:

so far over on the pavement that it restricts access for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs

within 10 metres of a junction

over a dropped curb

on H bars that are painted on the road

across drive ways, restricting someone's access to the highway.

on zig zag lines

I have been to various locations across Hoole and Newton this week dealing with these issues, including Thirlmere Road and Fieldway.
