Concerns regarding Drug Dealing

Following recent local surveys, concerns around drug use and supply in the Ashford area have been reported. 

Within the last week, proactive mobile patrols by the local beat officers were carried out targeting hot spot areas known for this activity. 

Whilst on patrol, officers identified suspicious activity between a male in a vehicle and another male on a bicycle, in a known location for drug supply, and both quickly left the area upon seeing Police. Officers located the vehicle and stopped it, later locating a large quantity of cash, checklists and confirmed Class A drugs. The male also tested positive for class A drugs at the roadside and was subsequently arrested for Possession with Intent to Supply Controlled Drugs, and Drug driving offences. This male is now currently on bail.
