Theft of motor vehicle – There have been 1 report of Attempt of Theft of motor vehicle between 29 August 2025 and 06 September 2025.
On 02/09/2025, three unknown suspects have gained access to a vehicle on Foxwood Grove but were disturbed by neighbour and they left the location.
Theft from a motor vehicle – There have been no reports of Theft from a motor vehicle between 29 August 2025 and 06 September 2025.
Interference with a motor vehicle – There has been no reports of Interference with a motor vehicle between 29 August 2025 and 06 September 2025.
Smith’s Wood
Theft of motor vehicle – There has been 2 reports of Theft of motor vehicle and 1 report of attempted theft of motor vehicle between 29 August 2025 and 06 September 2025. Between 2200 hours on 27/08/2025 and 0120 hours on 28/08/2025, Unknown offenders stole a vehicle on Greenfinch Road but it was recovered.
On 29/08/2025, two offenders have attempted to steal a moped on Portsea Drive.
On 02/09/2025, Unknown offender(s) have stolen a vehicle on Wheatfield Close.

Officers from the Smiths wood neighbourhood team are continuing to conduct proactive patrols and take preventative measures to tackle vehicle crime, across all Smiths wood, Kingshurst and Castle Bromwich.
Simple Steps to Keep Your Vehicle Safe – Keyless ignition owners should use a Faraday pouch for their fob. All drivers should consider a steering lock, park in well – lit visible areas, lock their vehicle, remove valuables and ensure windows, sunroof, and wing mirrors are closed/ folded. Unfolded mirrors may signal an unlocked car to thieves.
