Town Ward Day of Action - Results

The Town Ward Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a day of action on Thursday 4th September. Despite it being a wet and thundery day, this did not stop us. We had passive drugs dog Elsa with us for the day. Officers were in both uniform and plain clothes. 

3 people were stopped and searched under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act.  1 of these was found to be in possession of Class A drugs and was arrested and later charged with the offence. 

3 members of the public were signed up to My community alert, to receive messages just like this. 

Several intelligence reports were submitted. 

Numerous retail premises were visited by officers 

1 shop theft was prevented by officers being in the right place at the right time!
