Safer roads campaign

Police officers have been out in Little Lever as part of the safer roads campaign focusing on tong road and hall lane.

Police stopped 45 vehicles:

10 drivers were issued traffic offence reports for speeding, not wearing a seatbelt and using a handheld device whilst driving.

2 drivers were issued vehicle defect rectification schemes it is important that your vehicle is safe and suitable to be on the road.

2 vehicles were seized one for not having insurance the other will be interviewed for no licence and insurance.

Numerous drivers were spoken to and words of advice issued for speeding in a 20 zone.
