Two men have been jailed for their part in a violent assault in Biddulph.
Grant Seymor (left), 31, of Biddulph, and Jakob Havard (right), 32, of Stoke-on-Trent, were both jailed for one-year-and-six-months at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Tuesday (2 September) after they admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent at an earlier hearing.
It happened on Kingsfield Road in July 2023. The victim was speaking to someone while buying some shopping when Seymor got out of a car. Seymor went over to the victim and punched him in the face.
At some point, a set of keys dropped on the floor when the two began to scuffle. Seymor picked them up and used them to attack the victim, causing multiple injuries to his face.
Havard also joined in with Seymor and attacks the victim. They both left in the car after it happened.
Two days later, we arrested Seymor at this house. Further enquiries were then carried out, leading to Havard’s arrest in October the same year.
They were both charged with the offences, taken to court and have now been jailed.
PC Maddie Johnson, the officer in the case, said: “This was a vicious attack that left the victim with extensive injuries. Not only has he endured the physical and emotional pain of the assault, it’s also cost him thousands to repair the damage that was caused.
“I’m happy that these two individuals have been convicted and are now serving time in a jail cell for what they did.” | ||
