The last weeks events

It has been a while so I thought I would provide a brief update of our latest events over the past week.

We have had a large number of reports relating to shoplifting, and youth offenders in particular. When I talk of shoplifting I am not referring to a one off event. In fact i would go as far as to day they were prolific shoplifters. To be honest whether it is a 20p sweet or a £100 piece of  jewellery it doesn't make much difference to me, theft is theft. Both female teenagers have been arrested, transported to Camborne custody and interviewed. They were released on bail with conditions not to enter any shop in St Ives unless accompanied with an adult. Let's hope it makes rhe message clear.

The last day of my shift was spent dealing with a suspected drink driver who had hit a stationery vehicle. Following arrest, he is now on bail. 

I can only hope people learn from these bad judgement calls.
