The SNT have been made aware of a trader that has been going round Vulnerable members of the community around Barrow on Trent and charging excessive amounts for jobs that weren't necessary.

An investigation is ongoing but please take care when opening the door to cold callers.

We advise the following -

Avoid opening the door to Cold Callers (if it can be avoided) and display signage alerting them that you will not do business without a prior appointment.

Never let cold callers into your property.

If you are looking to get work done, make sure you research companies to ensure they are genuine.

Get multiple quotes from a variety of companies to make sure you aren't being ripped off.

If you have any concerns or notice rogue traders in your area, please call either 101 or 999 in the case of emergencies.
