SPEED CHECKS

Good afternoon all,

Today PC 15010 MCELLIGOTT, PC 15611 BROWN and I completed speed checks on TOWER VIEW in KINGS HILL. We also stopped a number of vehicles in and around AYLESFORD, LARKFIELD, ADDINGTON and WEST MALLING. In total we issued 12 speeding tickets, 2 Section 59's (ASB Driving), 2 vehicles seized for no tax/insurance and 2 tickets for not wearing seatbelts.

Speeding and not wearing seatbelts is a real issue in the MALLINGS area which is why we targeted these specific offences today. As today was success we will be looking at completing this in other areas as and when time allows. Both PC BROWN and I are completing speed checks in WOULDHAM next MONDAY.

I also issued a further section 59 for a driver earlier this week as a member of public send a video of the vehicle doing donuts in ALDI car park. So please if you have videos of vehicles committing ASB please send them into me via email or request a link as we can issue these types of warnings. A second incident will result in the vehicle being seized.
