Appeal for information launched following fire at Brampton Manor

We are appealing for information following a fire at Brampton Manor in Chesterfield.

Emergency services were called to the blaze at the derelict building in Old Road on Tuesday 2 September at about 5.30pm.

The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

A joint investigation between the fire service and police has concluded that the cause is undeterminable due to the severity of the fire and damage to the property.

Police officers are however keeping an open mind and the incident is being investigated as a potential arson attack.

We are now appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.

We are particularly keen to hear from members of the public who may have seen anyone in the vicinity of the property around the time of the incident.

In addition, if anyone has any CCTV which covers the building and has not already spoken to officers, please come forward.
