Local Priorities Violence against shop workers Message |
||
I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against shop workers, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey. The West End Town Centre Team B were notified on Monday 1st September about a female member of the street population who had been causing ASB issues inside various restaurants and cafes on Oxford Street and Hanover Square, she routinely was abusive both verbally and physically to the staff, refused to leave the venues and criminally damaged a card reader. Violence against shop workers and staff is a serious crime that should not be tolerated. Whether physical or verbal, any incident in which a person is abused, threatened or assaulted in circumstances relating to their work is completely unacceptable. If you do see any of this taking place, please report it as soon as possible or call 999.
For more information, please see the Metropolitan Police website.

The consultation paper is available online, as well as a survey to let us know what you think. This closes on the 15 September. | ||
