Vehicle crimes, City Centre and University

Hello residents,

There has been an increase in vehicle crimes in and around the City Centre and University areas of Preston. This message is just a friendly reminder to residents to try and take steps to prevent yourselves from becoming a victim of crime. Certain steps you can take are:

- Ensuring your vehicle is locked when unattended

- Not leaving the vehicle running whilst unattended with the keys in the ignition

 - Not leaving any valuables in the car whilst unattended, these include dashcams, loose change, electrical equipment, tools, or other goods of value.

Furthermore, it is good to leave your vehicle in a well lit area, such as drive ways, or compounds/carparks which has CCTV.
