CCTV appeal

 Stockport neighbourhood police patrols set up a speed check operation on Marple Road, Offerton yesterday. This was in response to local residents concerns that some drivers were far exceeding the 30mph limit,  making them feel unsafe. 

In the space of an hour, twelve drivers were stopped for excess speed, with the majority dealt with by words of advice and verbal warning. A further two drivers were stopped and issued with a traffic offence report for mobile phone use and no seat belt.
