Rogue Trader awareness

It has been bought to our attention that a Rogue Trader has been operating in the area, in reference to tree cutting services. 

Rogue traders will target anyone, and in particular anyone who they suspect may be vulnerable and will not call police. 

Please help us to prevent anyone falling victim to rogue traders or bogus callers, by keeping a look out for your neighbours.

Although it is not an offence to cold call, it is an offence to offer to carry out works to a property without a written quotation and cooling off period.

If you, a neighbour, or someone else you know is being affected by rogue traders or a scam, call trading standards’ rapid response on 07903 852 090 

If the cold caller is persistent and refuses to leave, you can call the police on 999
