Traffic Operation

Our local Neighbourhood Task Force worked with the Road Safety Unit in Dane Valley on 4th August and also on Monday 1st September with some excellent results.

In August they achieved the following results:

12 tickets issued for various driving offences including no insurance, not having business insurance to deliver food,  driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, having tinted headlights and not wearing a seatbelt,

4 vehicles were prohibited from being driven due to being in poor state of repair,

4 vehicles were seized – 2x e-scooters and 2 cars for document offences,

1 vehicle was dealt with for not having appropriate road tax

1 male was arrested for Drink Driving

In September the following results were achieved:

Two persons were arrested on suspicion of drug and shoplifting offences

4 vehicles were seized

9x tickets were issued for various offences including no insurance, mobile phone and insecure load

1 vehicle issued with a S59 Warning for Careless Driving

4 drug searches

1 offender was issued with a Community Resolution

Some excellent results that should send out a message to road users that any offences will be dealt with robustly.
