Joint working

This afternoon. Your neighbourhood officers have been performing checks on riders of electric pedal cycles. To ensure that they comply with regulations and are not committing any offences under the road traffic act. Along with ourselves we have been jointly working with the Immigration service. 

We are aware of the dangers that these bikes can pose. Not only to the rider but the public. 

During the afternoon we were able to seize 5 bikes who were not conforming to the regulations and made one arrest for immigration offences. 

We will continue to perform checks on these bikes and take any that do not conform to the regulations.
