||
Police are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage following an assault in Hatfield this morning (Tuesday 2 September). Officers found a man injured in Hertford Road, close to Lodge Drive, at around 7.30am. He reported that three males had assaulted him. It is believed to have happened near the Chequers area. The man, aged in his forties, sustained injuries to his head, ribs and arms. He was taken to hospital to be checked over. PC Harry Park said: “We are hopeful for witnesses as this is a busy road and people may have been travelling to work. “Were you driving along Lodge Drive, Hertford Road or Chequers this morning? Did you see three males in the area? Or did you see the incident? One of the males is described as white and around 6ft tall. “Please get in touch if you can help. I would like to ask any drivers who were in the area and have a dash cam to please check their video and get in touch if you have footage that might help. “You can get in touch with me directly at Harry.Park@herts.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/83242/25.” You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101.
