Burglary Near You |

Dear Resident
You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Belmont Avenue, Baildon, this occurred at 3.20am on 01/09/2025 and the method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry.
CCTV shows 3 masked males approaching the property. The suspects gained entry to the address by snapping the lock of the rear patio door. The burglary was not discovered until the morning. The victim reports that nothing was stolen from the address but feels they may have been looking for the keys to the vehicles on the driveway, which they were unable to locate.
Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it around 3.20am to check if you had any activations.
Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.
Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police. Should you have any information about either burglary please contact us on 101. Thanks | ||
