Appeal following car theft and attempted burglaries

We are appealing for information after a car was stolen, a wallet was taken from another car, and two attempted burglaries took place in the Tamworth and Lichfield areas overnight.

A grey BMW X3 was stolen from the driveway of a property on Mansfield Close, Tamworth, at around 5am yesterday (31 August).

Doorbell footage shows offenders arrive in a blue BMW then drive away in convoy with the stolen X3.

They leave in the direction of Coton Lane and Browns Lane onto Ashby Road. 

The suspects are described as three to four males, one of whom was wearing a padded jacket.

We believe the same individuals are involved in a theft of a wallet from a red Ford Puma on Hillside in Lichfield at around 3.40am the same day, and an attempted burglary in the same area, at around 3.20am.

Similar suspects were reportedly seen trying property door handles in the area of Grosvenor Close in Lichfield at around 3.15am.

We are reviewing CCTV and doorbell footage of the areas at the time of the incident and would urge anyone with information or relevant footage to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 275 of 31 August.
