Good new ! Another untaxed car is removed

Good News, I'm pleased to share some positive news from our community. Following a report from a vigilant member of the public, an untaxed vehicle has now been removed from our streets. Untaxed vehicles/ SORN aren’t just a legal issue — they can pose real dangers to our community. 

These vehicles  

❌ Often lack proper insurance or MOT, making them unsafe to be on the road

❌ Can be linked to crime or used in antisoci

al behaviour 

❌ Take up valuable parking space and contribute to a neglected appearance in our neighbourhoods 

❌ May be abandoned and left in poor condition, posing a risk to children , pedestrians and other road users.  

 Thanks to quick reporting and partnership between the community and enforcement teams, this vehicle was dealt with efficiently — keeping our streets safer and more welcoming for everyone.

Please be aware that if you have registered your vehicle as SORN to the DVLA then you must keep it off road on a private driveway or private land until it is either re taxed. If it is parked on a public highway you will be reported , the car will be towed and you will receive a fine of up to £1000.
