Man charged with drug and driving offences

A man has been charged with drug and driving offences after we found cash, cannabis and a mobile phone following a stop search in Hednesford.

Lewis Mills, 24, from Huntington, has been charged with possessing a controlled drug of class B (cannabis), driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance.

It comes after officers from our major and organised crime proactive teams stopped a car in Hednesford and searched the driver at 2.20pm on Thursday (28 August).

Cash, a phone and cannabis were found.

When officers later went to an address in Huntington they discovered more cannabis.

Mills was due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Friday (29 August).
