 Market Bosworth Police – NH29 Beat Team Update 🚓

Firstly we apologise for the lack of engagement or update for the Market Bosworth beat however your beat team has been busy the last few days across our 52 villages, tackling a wide range of incidents and keeping our communities safe. Here's a snapshot of what we've been up to:

🔍 Various Crime Investigations including:

• Criminal Damage reports in Groby

• Criminal Damage report in Ratby

• Harassment reports in Kirby Mallory, Groby, Newbold Verdon, and Desford

• Safeguarding concerns addressed in Stoke Golding and Peckleton

🚧 Community Incidents:

• Parking issues in Markfield, Market Bosworth, Barlestone, and Groby

• Abandoned vehicles in Markfield (x2), Bagworth, Stoke Golding and Botcheston.

• Suspicious activity reports in Barlestone and Groby Pool

• ASB issues in Newbold Verdon

• Neighbourhood dispute reports in Groby and Newbold Verdon

• Traffic concerns in Groby

• Attended a number of road traffic collision across the Hinckley and Blaby policing area.

🚔 Traffic Operations:

• Sutton Cheney: A vehicle has been seized and weight limit breaches which was identified addressed at the scene.

• A444 & surrounding areas: Multiple vehicles seized and a number of tickets issued for various offences including MOT, insurance and illegal registration plates.

• On Saturday, PC STATT from the rural crime team and local beat officers patrolled a vast area of the beat. During this shift we stopped a number of vehicles, one of which was subsequently seized as it was established that there was no TAX, no MOT and no insurance.

🤝 Assistance & Engagement:

• We have supported our response colleagues in multiple incidents across the area.

• Supported Economic Crime Unit with arrests in London (2 persons for Fraud & Money Laundering)

• Crime enquiries and many miles of patrols across the beat.

• Conducted a patch walk in Bagworth with the housing officer from East Midlands Housing – community surveys and Neighbourhood link sign-ups completed

• Night shifts patrols and have support the night-time economy in Hinckley
