Weekly Update

Dear Residents,

PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team.

What`s been happening:

We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour, warrants and community event.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:

Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community.

Officers had a community van parked up on Craners Road this week which was a successful event. We had the police cadets join us conducting leaflet drops to all the residents on the streets. Residents came out to have a chat to us and many of the children trying on police uniform. We received great feedback around the work we have been doing around on-going issues.

Whilst officers were out on patrol they attended Cobb Close after we have received numerous reports of parking issues. We found a car with no tax or insurance so it was seized.

We conducted a joint warrant with Trading Standards which was executed in your neighbourhood. In this warrant officers managed to get an arrest and seize a large number of illegal items and drugs.

Officers attend The Positive Youth Foundation earlier this week. They were holding a festival for the young people in Hillfields. This was a great turn out and there were many different games and activities for them to get involved with.

Your local neighbourhood officers seized a vehicle on Swan Lane, after responding to concerns from members of the public around vehicles being dumped in the area. This was causing a nuisance to the local residents in the area.

ARRESTS:

This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 4 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK:

Whilst out on our patrols, we are still noticing vehicles parking on double red lines, especially on King William Street. If you are visiting one of the shops on the street, make sure you are parking legally.

Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields.
