What's been happening this week in Stockland Green & Erdington …. 

Street watch on Witton Lakes on Saturday 30th with 2 x members of the community and neighbourhood officer PCSO Ruddock & PC Ullah from Stockland Green NHT… looking to organise a local speed watch in the Gypsy lane area.

Wyrley Birch festival of Fun day on Saturday 30th August @ Eco Hub … attended by local families from the area and even as far as Shard end people attended. Local charities were in attendance from Spurgeons Children’s Charity … School uniforms and start kits were also given out that had had been funded by McDonalds & Vision 4 all. 

Cuppa with a copper at High croft Social Club on Saturday evening with community members and local neighbourhood officers. 4 x residents in attendance and 1 NHW co-ordinator and local councillor Jane Jones …. Discussed HMO’s, criminal damage, Sus behaviour linked to vehicle crime and advice given on local legislation form the councillor.

Officers on patrol on Erdington High have engaged with a male who then proceeded to make off on foot across roof tops and eventually he was caught up with and was found to have a bladed weapon and drugs upon his person. Male taken into custody and charged and remanded to court. 

SEA meeting has been held in Erdington to discuss the newly opened HMO property on Orchard Road, where local residents have raised concerns regarding issues with a few tenants and the amount of rubbish being disposal and how this is affecting the community. Local councillor and other partner agencies have been involved. 

8 Targeted patrols have been conducted in the Stockland Green & Erdington High Street area for the anti social behaviour and violent crime strategies from force level.
