Good Afternoon Resident
FORDBRIDGE NEWSLETTER 31ST AUG 25
Firstly let me just introduce myself, I am PCSO 30873 Ian Carr, I have been on the Chelmsley Neighbourhood Team for around 15 years and have been in the police force for 29 years, I am now one of the dedicated neighbourhood officers for the Fordbridge area, I will also be doing some work around the Town Centre, some of you will already know me well, I hope to get to know a lot more people who live and work in the area, most of the time I will be patrolling the area on foot so you will be seeing me a lot, I’m very approachable and I am happy to chat to anyone so if you do see me please do say hi, I am happy to discuss and try to solve any issues or concerns you may have. I will be posting regular WMnow messages with crime updates for the area, good news, information about upcoming community engagements, meetings and beat surgery's.
CRIME UPDATE: OVER THE LAST WEEK REPORTED CRIME IN THE Fordbridge and Chelmsley Town Centre BETWEEN THE 24/08/25-30/08/25 On 24/08/25 in Brickhill Drive a parked vehicle had its window smashed and was then set alight by unknown persons. On 25/08/25 in Hollylodge Walk unknown persons gained entry to a property through an unlocked front door, subsequently the keys to the residents vehicle taken which was then stolen. On 26/08/25 (Criminal Damage) unknown persons smashed a window of a property on Loyns Close On 26/08/25 A Renault Modus which was left unlocked with keys on the seat was stolen from Loyns Close by an unknown person. The Public Space Protection order that is now in place around the Town Centre continues to be enforced which has resulted in a reduction of ASB in this area.
CRIME PREVENTION: Please remember to lock doors and use anti-theft devices to secure your vehicle and do not leave valuables on display, mornings are starting to stay darker for longer and nights are drawing in earlier so consider setting light timer switches when you are not in the property and ensure doors and windows are locked.
Community Engagement Diary New dates for community engagements/cuppa Tea with a Coppa/Beat surgery will be updated in the near future
SCHOOLS: Summer holidays are at an end and the children will be heading back to school this week, we hope you have all had a great summer holiday, look out for us on our regular school patrols. Stay Safe Ian Carr Pcso 30873
