Ellesmere Port & Neston Police Neighbourhood Crime update - 4 to 31 August 2025

Please note this is not a complete list of all incidents reported during this period - it is purely for the information of local residents to make them aware of incidents that have taken place within their area.

Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

 

ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Rossmore
  • Jacks Wood Avenue – Entry gained into property via an insecure rear door.      Two computer monitors taken.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Netherpool
  • Warren Drive – Unknown male offender has pulled open front window to access property.  Cash then stolen from dining room table.
  • Sutton
  • Greasby Drive – Occupant heard the rear door handle being rattled.      Upon opening the door saw an unknown male jumping over the rear fence.
  • Hope Farm Road – Unknown offender has caused damage to the front door lock in what may have been an unsuccessful attempt to gain access to property.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Unknown male offender, wearing dark clothing and a balaclava banged on the front and rear doors before trying the door handles.      He has then climbed over the side gate into the rear garden before partially opening a rear window.  No entry gained into property.

    Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Brancepeth Court – Brick thrown through glass section of communal door.
  • Newton Road – Brick thrown through front living room window.
  • Marina Walk – Male kicks and punches glass panel in shop door causing it to smash. – Male arrested.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • West Drive – Wiring on rear garden lights cut through.
  • St. Pauls
  • Chester Road – Male witnessed breaking 2 x irrigation boxes at the Golf Club. – Named suspect.
  • Sutton
  • Dolphin Crescent – On several occasions during the past week a group of youths have been kicking the front door of the property.  During the latest incident the door has been left with a crack to it.

    Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Wallet and contents removed from changing rooms of ‘David Lloyd’ by unknown means. – Further report received from staff that several padlocks were found to have been removed from other lockers, with other items being taken or found discarded in the toilet and shower areas.
  • Rossmore
  • Joseph Groom Towers – Blue push bike (no further details) taken from outside flats.
  • Minnow Drive – Garden hose taken from garden.
  • Station Road – Two out of three bikes, secured to fencing at the subway that runs under the roundabout by B&M taken by unknown means:
    • Red Specialized Mountain bike.
    • Black Carrera Mountain bike.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Netherpool
  • Rossmore Road West – Two bikes, secured to bike taken by unknown means:
    • Black DMR mountain bike with red writing.
    • Purple (glittery) BMX style bike with white tyres and handlebars.
  • St. Pauls
  • Valley Drive – Silver Carrera Mountain bike taken by an unknown male. No further details.

    Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

     

    ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Town Lane – Unsuccessful attempt theft of CBR 650 motorcycle leaving it on its side, with resulting damage.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Chandler Street - Jaguar XFR, T29 ROJ witnessed being driven from the driveway of address after access gained by unknown means. – Vehicle recovered a short time later in Merseyside, parked up on Picton Close, Eastham.

    Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks Way – Entry gained into Range Rover Sport by unknown means.  Nintendo Switch, Coach purse and Coach neckless taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Wellwood Close – Entry gained into Renault Trafic, by unknown means and quantity of tools taken from within.  – CCTV shows a male committing this offence and placing the tools into a wheelie bin to remove. – Tools have since been recovered. *Appears to be same male.
  • John Street – Male witnessed on CCTV trying door handles of Citroen C4 and other vehicles parked within the car park of ‘Eyre Place’. - *Appears to be same male.  
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Askrigg Avenue – Ford Transit Custom entered via forcing rear doors.  Quantity of power tools taken from within.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • School Lane – Entry gained into Nissan Qashqai by unknown means.      Parcel and purse containing cash taken.  One transaction made on card before it was blocked.

    Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
     
    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Croft Court - Group of unknown youths approach a Hyundai Getz and using an unknown object smash the nearside front passenger window before running away.
  • Rossmore
  • Inward Way – Ford Transit Connect van, parked at the roadside set alight by unknown means, resulting in it being completely burnt out.
  • Broad Birches – Ford Fiesta scratched along length of rear door.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Sutton
  • Peckforton Drive – Unknown male approached address before throwing paint stripper over 2 vehicles, a VW Caddy and a Vauxhall Tigra, parked at the address.

    ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – During the early afternoon of Sunday 10th August a youth has been sitting at the BMX track with his friend.  An unknown youth, within a group has asked to look at their phone, which was being used, before grabbing it and riding off.
  •
