Police Super Bowl

Every August, Leominster safer neighbourhood team invite young people aged between 11-16 to attend our Police Super Bowl, which is held at the Grove Golf and Bowl Centre at Ford Bridge, Leominster.

The Super Bowl starts off with a breakfast roll (well, you can't bowl on an empty tummy!), then the group are split into teams of four, plus a member of our team. One of the challenges we set down is that the young people have to beat the member of staff's bowling score on their lane, which as you can imagine gets very competitive (the staff are not immune to the competition!).

The idea of the Police Super Bowl is for the engagement of police and our younger community members in an informal setting, which allows open conversations to take part about a variety of  subjects such as, youth amenities, personal safety, the local parks etc.

A huge thank you to all the young people that took part, it was a fabulous morning. A big thank you also to Roger and Zena Helme and team at The Grove Golf and Bowl Centre for the venue, food and for the continued support.

The funding for the event was provided by the PCC's community fund.
