Ticket Scams |
||
Dear Residents,
#TicketScams cost sports fans hundreds of thousands of pounds every year and with the new season upon us, here’s some tips to identify and avoid them:
🔎 Who and where are the tickets coming from?
Be sure to only purchase tickets from official club websites, authorised retailers, or trusted fan exchanges. If you’re buying them online, make sure to double check the URL.
📱 Tickets through social media.
Scammers will often look to post fake listings for tickets – so if it’s not from an official club website or trusted reseller, it could be a sign of ticket fraud.
🏷️ A bargain or bogus?
Matchday tickets are not usually cheap, so be wary of unusually low-prices – especially for big games – as they could be counterfeit or even duplicates.
🔐 Check your payment methods.
Always check how you’re paying and make sure the methods are secure. If you feel any doubt, don’t go ahead with the purchase.
Don’t get caught offside, #StopThinkFraud before you buy tickets to see your favourite teams this season.
