Local Priorities Fraud Update

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Fraud, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Dear Residents,

Please beware of a scam whereby a male and female who allegedly reported wearing a high Visibility and pretended to be traffic wardens on George Lane E18.
It is believed that the male and female are targeting elderly people and scamming them of getting a ticket and take their bank cards and run away.

The male was a black tall male no further description.

Female was a Romania lady, medium built not tall and was wearing a religious head scarf.

Kindly do not in any case, hand your bank card to any one and in any doubt, call the police should you find yourself in an emergency situation.

NPT shall continue to patrol George Lane E18 and surrounding streets to keep our community safe from criminal activity.
