Weekly Update

Good Evening Resident,

The Summer Holidays are nearly at an end and it's been marked by some very wet weather at the end of this week!

Here’s a quick round up from me and the Longbridge Neighbourhood Team.

Our Priorities

1.Anti-social behaviour and shop theft around supermarkets in the Longbridge shopping area.

2.Reports of off road vehicles being driven erratically in open spaces across the ward including the Cockhill Lane estate and Cofton Park areas

3.A number of concerns reported of speeding and poor driving across the Longbridge area

What’s been happening…?

We attended our PCSO Meets The Community on Longbridge Retail Park and enjoyed our engagement with shoppers and the children we encountered. 

We popped into the Community Fun Day at Frankley Library and it was great to see the children there enjoying the variety of craft activities, musical instruments and puzzles. We had some lovely chats with the organisations who attended as well, helping to strengthen our partnerships.

We have patrolled our open spaces this week to deter any off-road anti-social behaviour

We have also increased our presence on Longbridge Retail Park to actively deal with and deter the anti-social behaviour. Our PCSO’s were involved in a large group of youths being chased and then searched by our Police Officers after reports of actively showing weapons. No weapons were found on this occasion, but the proactive response is a positive step in our efforts to stamp out this behaviour.
