I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

BROCKLEY MAN ARRESTED AFTER LINKED SERIES OF INDECENT EXPOSURE OFFENCES

A man in the Brockley area has been arrested recently by the Brockley Safer Neighbourhoods team after being made aware of a series of linked indecent exposure incidents. The man had been seen repeatedly targeting a victim performing indecent acts outside their window. CID officers managed to capture clear CCTV footage of the offender and circulated his image to local police officers. Whilst out on area patrol, Officers from Brockley's Safer Neighbourhoods team sighted the man wearing the same clothes as he was during the offences in the Deptford area. Officers detained the man and arrested him for Indecent exposure offences. Officers from the CID managed to secure charges for indecent exposure and the offender will begin the court process for trial. Officers in the Brockley continue to tackle Violence against women and girls
