Aldridge & Brownhills Neighbourhood Team update

Good Evening, we hope you’ve all had a great bank holiday weekend.

Here’s a few things the neighbourhood team have been up to this week.

PCSO’s have conducted reassurance patrols in Pelsall following reports of Antisocial behaviour/suspected drug dealing near Pelsall Village Centre.

There have been further reports of lead thefts in Pelsall, the latest report is that lead has been stolen from a local primary school.   These offences are happening in the late evening, please be vigilant.  Officers are following up with house to house enquiries and checking CCTV/doorbell footage. Please click on the following link to join our CCTV register.

Reports of Antisocial behaviour have been reported at Barr Beacon, Pheasey, officers have conducted patrols and this will be ongoing.

Officers have attended logs in Brownhills where reports of youths congregating on the derelict building throwing objects off the roof have been noted. (Ravenscroft).

Ongoing patrols are being conducted around Aldridge Village Shopping Centre, following many reports of antisocial behaviour during the school holidays. Some offenders have been identified from CCTV, visits are being arranged and youths dealt with appropriately.

Due to school holidays, Safer Travel and British Transport Police have conducted high visibility patrols in and around Walsall Wood near KFC, Oak Park and following the number 10 bus route due to ongoing antisocial behaviour complaints.

Team members attended a PACT meeting at the Pheasey Hub. Residents of Pheasey, Streetly, Aldridge & Walsall Wood were invited to engage with us and share their concerns. Pheasey residents discussed speeding and drug dealing concerns in the vicinity. This will be addressed by an action plan in conjunction with the local council. Officers have been patrolling the Queslett Road, keeping out observations, as the main area of concern for speeding.
