** Hampson Park incidents **

Dear Resident

We are aware there is a large amount of online discussion and speculation being shared on social media in relation to deceased animals being found in Hampson Park.

There is currently a police investigation that is actively being progressed and for which an arrest has already been made. Officers are routinely visiting the park as part of their patrols and in relation to the investigation.

At this stage there is no evidence to suggest the recent rabbit and fox carcasses found in the park are linked to the ongoing investigation.

We are urging members of the public not to share hearsay or speculate online, or encourage action around this investigation. This kind of activity may harm any future legal proceedings.

We will share updates on the progress of the investigation as we have them. In the meantime, if you believe you have witnessed any criminal activity in the park, please report it directly to us via our website or 101. If a crime is in progress call 999.
