Local Priorities Violence against women and girls Concern Update

I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Chadwell and Seven kings PCSOs recently held a Walk, Talk & Do at little heath alongside plain clothes officers to reassure the community following the tragic incident that took place there.
We spoke to more than 20 People raising their concerns and worries and they felt reassured the moment they saw police.
Many of whom we spoke to raised the concern of the green space in front of the college at night being very poorly lit and feeling isolated especially because it is their route to a bus stop.
We will continue to patrol the area at all hours of the day and make our communities feel safe once again.

Thank you for everyone who turned up and informed us of problems and concerns in the area.

We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years, and we want to make sure you have had the chance to have your say. The consultation paper is available online, as well as a survey to let us know what you think. This closes on the 15 September.
