Castlefield Community Safety Update

We’d like to inform residents of Castlefield about a recent development following a series of parcel thefts from secured residential buildings in the Potato Wharf area.

Over the past few weeks, several apartment blocks — including Potato Wharf, Goodwin, and Wilson buildings — were targeted in multiple incidents where parcels were stolen from communal mail areas. These crimes caused understandable concern among residents and building managers.

Investigation & Arrest: Thanks to a thorough investigation led by the Castlefield Neighbourhood Policing Team (NBO), PC Riaz, and the wider Neighbourhood Crime Team (NCT), a male suspect has been identified and arrested today in connection with these offences.

The individual has now been charged with four counts of burglary and has been remanded in custody to appear at the next available court date.
